APTV Managers: We need a team of people to manage our Harry Potter TV channel, APTV. The basic task of this team will be to update the channel lineup daily as well as perform maintenance on the channel. No technical skills are required as we use Livestream.com to broadcast, and they have made an easy to use management page.


Video Gallery/Videos of the Week Managers: Our video gallery needs management and new videos! We also want to open a section for "Videos of the Week" which will consist of managers picking their favorite Fan Videos, Interviews, and other general Harry Potter videos for display at AP. This job requires individuals who have a passion for HP videos.


Theme Park Page/News Managers: With the Harry Potter Theme Park in Orlando coming soon, we need a team of people who can keep our projected Theme Park page up to date with the latest info, ticket deals, events, etc. They will also be responsible for posting news posts that relate to special new stories relating to the park. This job is very similar to our Movie Team position (see below).


General Help Staff: We need a team who can take care of various tasks, such as publishing, section updating, and tasks given out by Accio-Potter management. You must be available daily for this job.


TAPN managers: We need a moderation and management team at our social network, PotterProfiles (The Accio-Potter Network). Various tasks include photo moderation, page maintenance, and keeping the site active.


Creative Page Builders: This job requires people who can create new pages here at Accio-Potter. Fans want to see new creative pages about Harry Potter and the Fandom, and the possibilities are endless. To apply for this job, be sure to have ideas (ask yourself: what do I want to see from a fan site?) and be ready to make several pages a week.


Translators: We want to expand our services and content to all parts of the fandom, no matter what language a fan may speak. For this, we need individuals who can fluently read and write in any language other than English. The team will translate news, and much of the content on Accio-Potter. Languages include but are not limited to: Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, German, French... We will accept any native speakers, but will request only confident and well-studied non-native speakers.


This is a great venture for people who speak another language and wish to work at a Harry Potter fan site. We wish to create Accio-Potter owned, non-English fan sites such as "Accio-Potter-Italia". The sites will be located at sub-directories for the time being; (example: http://accio-potter.com/italia/)
They will be part of Accio-Potter, but will just be serving people of a different tongue. The site will run almost as another fan site.
It's all part of the plan to make Accio-Potter a brand name in the Harry Potter Fandom.


Movie Team: We are looking for individuals to update our latest movie page as news and images come out. Since HBP is the next to come out, the job will consist of updating the Movie 6 page and all of it's sections, as well as any media that appears. Past HBP, the team will switch over to covering Movie 7, allowing us to provide the best coverage of the upcoming films.


News Poster/Reporting: Harry Potter News has been very consistent lately, and we need your help reporting the news. We at Accio-Potter want to become the quickest, most complete news reporting site in the fandom. Appliers need to know (or be willing to learn) basic html as well as be good with grammar (aka no misspellings).


News System Organizer: We need a team of people to organize our news system. This job consists of managing categories, articles, and archives on a daily basis to maintain our news system.


Charity: Details coming soon! In short, we hope to work with Harry Potter charity and awareness groups (such as HPA), as well as run and support charity events. Section is still in planning stages, so if you have ideas, be sure to apply.


Image Gallery Managers: We need someone to manage the image galleries at Accio-Potter. Adding images from news, searching for them, and more is what this job is all about.


PHP Script Writer: We are looking for people who can easily upload PHP projects to the site. Things such as Social Networking Sites, Photo Galleries, and other various PHP scripts are needed at Accio-Potter. Before applying, please make sure you know how to CHMOD files in your FTP client, and set up databases such as MySQL.


Writers: Editorials, Summaries, Overviews...we need it all! Grammatical knowledge is a must. We have a production quota of 1 piece per month.


Fandom Researchers: We need people who can make connections and research the happenings in this Fandom. We need people who like Wrock, Harry Potter Charities, and overall HP events. This work will be our HP Event Calendar Content. It will be updated weekly with Wrock concerts, and gatherings.


Flash Image Creator: We are in need of someone who can creator flash images, as well as countdowns and widgets. They must have their own programs for making these flash images.


TAPP Transcribers: We are starting a Transcript Section for TAPP. Applicants must have 1-2 hours every week to transcribe a segment of the show. There is no requirement other than you have to be able to download each show and you must have a good knowledge of the English language. If you have some HTML knowledge and would like to be an editor, please indicate that in your application. NOTE: Please email application to shannon@accio-potter.com
